DAO was founded by Hudson Stovall, a Sixth-Former (12th grader) at the prestigious St. Paul’s School, a boarding school in Concord, New Hampshire. Hudson has been passionate about all things business and entrepreneurship from a young age. He sees DAO as an opportunity to combine his sense of contemporary fashion with his desire to build a great company. To Hudson, DAO isn’t just about creating great fashion, it’s about building better communities.

Ava grew up in Rhode Island ands now she attends St. Paul's School. She loves to pain and is interested in design and biology.

Our mission

DAO’s mission is to bring a modern flair to traditional boarding school clothing. To us, modern means fresh styles, contemporary fabric cuts, and re-imagined typefaces and colors. But modern also means clothing that celebrates the rich diversity of today’s leading American boarding schools and their students. These boarding schools welcome students and faculty from all over the world — all races, religions, creeds, socio-economic backgrounds, sexual orientations and nationalities. While we recognize our differences, we’re united as one human race. Hence the name, Different As One.

Values

DAO values diversity of physical traits but also diversity of thought. We respect people that bring us together, rather than those that seek to tear us apart. We promote love not hate. We honor those that thoughtfully contribute not those that easily cancel. We respect differences and we seek to understand. We root for bridge builders not flame-throwers. And when missteps occur, we seek to forgive because we want a second chance, too. Hudson
